The aim of this website is to digitally preserve and present the history, languages, and cultural significance of the Behistun inscription through an interactive and educational platform. The project will explore the inscription created by King Darius I during the Achaemenid Empire and explain its importance for the decipherment of cuneiform writing. The website will include historical explanations, images, maps, timelines, and translations of the inscription in Old Persian, Elamite, and Babylonian. In addition, the project aims to demonstrate how digital technologies can help preserve Iranian cultural heritage and make historical knowledge more accessible to a wider audience.
